Gary Welch Harris, 70, of Arlington passed away peacefully on May 29, 2013 at Medical Center of Arlington. He was born on October 13, 1942 in Madill, Oklahoma to his parents Comer and Etoyl.
Gary was the first born of six children to his parents. He graduated from Madill High School with the class of 1961. Gary served in the United States Army for four years. He married Sherry Thomason in Arlington on February 13, 1994 and together the couple shared three children. The couple have been longtime residents of Arlington for over 40 years. Gary was employed by H&H Truck Repair as an Owner/Operator for over 30 years. Gary was a member of Fellowship of the Metroplex and he worked with the children's ministry for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends and testifying to others about God and his love.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a grandson.
Gary will be remembered by his loving wife, Sherry and their children; Heath & Cindee Harris, Sherri & Cory Garrison, Nicole & Brett Sutton, Jon & Erica Wright; sister Sharon & sister Marylynn; many grandchildren, adopted children, adopted grandchildren, and grand dogs.
