Howard Lay

Howard Joseph Lay, of Mansfield, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019.  He was born on April 30, 1958 in Wichita Falls, Texas to LeRoy Joseph Lay and Bettie Ann (Odom) Lay.  Joe married Denise (Melchiori) Lay on March 30, 1985.  He was a professional and avid golfer at Wichita Falls Country Club, a successful appliance salesman for many years, and attended First Baptist Church in Kennedale.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Denise Lay; daughter, Brittany Hay and husband Charlie; grandchildren, Harper Hay and Hunter Hay; sister, Cathy Lay; sister in law, Joanne Walters and husband Jimmy; brother in law, Andy Melchiori; nephews, Kenny Rice Jr. and Jared Melchiori; and niece, Alyssa Phillips and husband Keith.

Funeral service for Joe will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 1:00PM at First Baptist Church in Kennedale with Pastor Bryan Eason officiating and interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 6:00-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
