Ida Annette (Eason) Anderson, 89, passed away on 30 November 2024, at Medical City Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Texas. Annette was born on August 9, 1935, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to William Henry Jackson Eason and Bertha Nancy Estelle (Mizell) Eason.
Annette grew up living in various towns in North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida, but later moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she met Gary Gale Anderson. They were married on April 27, 1957, in Crowley, Texas. In 1959 they were baptized as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and sealed for time and all eternity on June 16, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were happily married for 67 years.
Annette spent many years as a stay-at-home mom. As her children grew, she worked for Kennedale ISD in the elementary school cafeteria, serving as the manager for several years, which allowed her to be home when her children were home. During this time, she completed multiple nutrition courses and received certifications in nutrition. Annette was active in her church and held many service callings throughout the years.She truly lived life to the fullest and enjoyed simple pleasures such as cooking and baking for her family, reading the scriptures, canning, sewing, playing piano, ceramics, and genealogy. Annette had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way that affected their lives forever.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents William Henry Jackson Eason and Bertha Nancy Estelle Pugh, siblings, Nellie Yvonne Webb, William Franklin Eason, and Kattie Elizabeth Colbert.
Annette is survived by her beloved spouse Gary of Kennedale, TX ; her seven children, Connie Palmer of Arlington, TX; Sandra Gossett of Kennedale, TX; Cheryl Ireland (Keith) of Idaho Falls, ID; Steven Anderson (Deborah) of Kennedale, TX; Kelly Young (Charles) of Arlington, TX; Peggy Fairchild (Bill) of Arlington, TX; and Diana Holyoak (Matthew) of Bremerton, WA; her 26 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren; her sister, Melva Key of Greenville, TX; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 6300 Crawford Lane West, Forest Hill, Texas 76019. Interment will be at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale, Texas.
