Jack Lynn Harmond

March 23, 1955 — December 29, 2024

Arlington

Jack Lynn Harmond, 69, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 29, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. He is finally at peace after suffering from a lengthy battle with chronic pain. He was born on March 23, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Joseph and Mary Alice Moore Harmond. He lived a long, meaningful life with friends and family who loved him.

Jack spent many of his younger years living in Whitney, Texas where he met his future wife, Mary Catherine Rowland. They married on August 20, 1983 and shared 41 years together. They built a life together in Arlington, Texas where they raised two beautiful children. Jack retired from a career with General Motors as an assembly line worker. He was also a talented drummer with a deep passion for music.

Jack had many hobbies throughout his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, riding bulls, carpentry, traveling, and cheering on the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He adored his dogs, Kilroy and Lucy. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. Spending time with them was one of the greatest joys in his life. He was the type of person who never met a stranger and would go out of his way to put a smile on someone's face.

Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine; his son, John Harmond, and daughter-in-law, Stacy Harmond; his daughter, Catherine Griffin, and son-in-law, Brandon Griffin; his grandchildren, Austin Harmond, Wyatt Harmond, Lawson Griffin, and Livie Griffin; his sister, Paulette Bourque.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Alice Moore Harmond.
