Marvin Jackson "Jack" Hays, born January 18, 1930 to Marvin and Mary (Ernst) Hays in Wichita Falls, passed away February 5, 2013 at a local hospital after a long battle with illness at the age of 83. Marvin was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1950 after serving as a machinery repairman .He was the owner of Bass & Hays Foundry in Grand Prairie. Jack loved piloting his personal Cherokee 260 plane, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of South Oak Baptist Church in Arlington and a dedicated member of the Grand Prairie Historical Society. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie of Arlington; sons, Jack David Hays of Midlothian, Tim Hays of Mansfield, Matt Hays of Arlington; daughters, Debbie Clack of Duncanville, Donna Boatman of Arlington, Dyana Saylors of Arlington and Denise Welch of Weatherford; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grand children; sisters, Jean Dunham and Jan Bass of Grand Prairie.
