James Teddy Kirkpatrick, 66, passed away on March 23, 2021 at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He was born on July 31, 1954 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to James Royce and Cynthia Agee Caldwell Kirkpatrick
James grew up in Malvern, Arkansas until the age of 13, when his family moved to Arlington, TX. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, TX in 1972.
After high school he:
attended college at UTA in Arlington, TX and studied accounting.
began work for Nordson as a Regional Sales Manager. He retired in 2016 after 33 years.
was involved in coaching Optimist football for many years.
James married Pam in 1973 in Arlington, TX. They were happily married for 47 years. He enjoyed boating, golfing, traveling, fishing. He loved his family fiercely.
James was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katelin; mother, Agee; and father, Royce.
James is survived by his spouse, Pam of Granbury, TX; his son, Jason (Nikki) Kirkpatrick of Arlington, TX; daughter, Stephanie (Brodie) Simms of Ovilla, TX; his sisters, Liz (Rodney) Tremont of Arlington, TX and Teresa (Jeff) Schrack of Arlington, TX; his grandchildren, Madison Simms, Alison Kirkpatrick, Rachel Simms, and Dylan Kirkpatrick; and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 4400 Pleasantview Drive in Arlington, TX at 11:00 am on March 31, 2021. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road in Kennedale, TX from 6 pm to 8 pm on March 30, 2021. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Funeral Home. It was James’ desire to be buried in a golf shirt. Please feel free to follow his lead.
