James Allen Mitchell

James A Mitchell, 94, of Fort Worth, Texas grabbed his Saviour's hand of Friday, July 5, 2024, and is now sitting at the feet of Jesus. He was born in Rita, Texas, on July 29, 1929, to James and Viola Mitchell.

James married the love of his life, Betty, on December 17, 1949. They were married for 74 years. 

He is survived by his three sons, Jack (Karen) Mitchell of Benton, Arkansas, John (Lydia) Mitchell of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joe (Sue) of Hudson Oaks, Texas. He is also survived by 6 grand children, Christina (Cory) Borden, Brian (Rachael) Mitchell, Thomas (Ashley) Dougherty, Barbie (Josh) Miller, Scot (Dyana) Mitchell and Theresa Boone, and 16 great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by both his parents, and sister, Jimi Varner.
