GRAND PRAIRIE -- James "Jim" Polk Taylor Jr., 60, was healed in heaven Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, following a valiant two-year battle with esophageal cancer.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel.
Memorials: May be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Jim was a member of South Oaks Baptist Church, past master of Sinking Creek Lodge in Gray, Tenn., and member of Thomas B. Hunter Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jaunita Taylor; grandchildren, Christine and Elizabeth Taylor; and his beloved dog, Mabel.
Survivors: Wife of 41 years, Martha; daughter, Beth and husband, Bryce Cannon; son, Rob and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Chris, Heather and Meghan Taylor, Kamryn and Cole Cannon, and Lindsay and Gregorey McKinney; sister, Nancy Lineberry; and a host of family and friends.
