James Thomas Griffin, 85, passed away January 26, 2024. Born June 15, 1938 in Leominster, Massachusetts, to deceased parents, James Griffin SR. and Phyllis Lima, Step-Father Rufus Lima. He is survived by his younger brother Mickey, wife Thea and sister Beverly. Half-Brothers Patrick Griffin, Robert Griffin, Half-sisters Patricia Matthews and Kathy Rolo. And Preceded in death by Step-sister Paula Lima, brother George "Gig" Griffin and Half-brother Ronald Griffin
He was married to the love of his life Sharon, his wife of 46 years, passed away 02/12/2021. Sharon and James wed on January 14, 1975 and had three children, Sherri Ann Arens, Judith Lea Reaves and James Terry Griffin. Survivors include his daughters Sherri Ann Arens, husband Steven Arens. Judith Lea Reaves, and son, James Terry Griffin and wife Karen. He has 7 Grandchildren. Jeromy Schweitzer and his wife Brittany. Adam Arens and his wife Sarah. Tawnya Koch and her husband Kerby. Lauren Arens, Bradley Arens, Michael Winters and wife Jayme. Andrew Winters and husband Geoff. He also has 15 Great Grandchildren. Bryce, Jade, Alyssa, Tristan, Garrett, Logan, Maykenzie, Hayden, Hailey, Reagan, Finnley, Jenna, MJ, and Maddie. Jeromy Schweitzer’s family is expecting another child.
James was in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant 1954-1975, 21 years of service. Having served in Vietnam and receiving a bronze star. Retiring at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls Texas. He lived in Arlington Texas since 1977. After leaving the service, he was in medical supplies and equipment sales for many years. Worked at Childrens hospital, Dallas, as shipping and receiving manager. His favorite pastimes were golf and attending golf tournaments in Dallas and Ft Worth. Visitation and graveside services will be held at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale Texas. 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
