James M. Williams, 79, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Burleson. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Emerald Hills Funeral Home located in Kennedale.
Jim was born on October 17, 1935 in Honey Grove, Texas to A.P. and Stella Williams. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1958-1964. In 1959, Jim met and married Patty Patton and had 2 children. He retired in 1999 and he and Patty traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada by RV. They met many wonderful friends while traveling. Jim became interested in chip carving and was a member of The Nolan River Chipper Club. He enjoyed carving with many of his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 5 sisters.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Patty Williams; children, Jamye Larson and Mark Williams and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Tyler Larson, Ryan Larson and Grace Smith; brother in-law, Howard Helm; sister in-law, Frances Stephenson; and several nieces and nephews.
