ARLINGTON -- J.B. Patton, 87, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel.
J.B. served his country proudly in the Army during World War II. When he came home, he went to work at General Motors and loved making and working on cars. He was a good, decent man who lived a simple life. Hard work and devotion to his family and friends were the hallmarks he lived by. His laid-back nature served him well, and he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Retta Patton.
Survivors: Wife, Ollie Patton; sons, Bruce and Debbie Patton, Keith and Dorothy Patton and Dennis and Stacy Patton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Walter and Jerry Pittman; and a host of other family and friends.
