Mrs. Jillynn Mcglocklin

April 16, 1969 — September 8, 2012

ARLINGTON -- Rena Jillynn McGlocklin, 43, of Arlington, passed away on September 8, 2012, at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and many dear friends. She was born on April 16, 1969, in El Paso, Texas, to Robert and Laura Epperson.
When Rena was 12 she accepted Christ into her heart and was excited that she had a new birthday. She was active in church and met her husband, Greg McGlocklin, at Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington. They were married on August 31, 1996 and had two sons, they are ages 9 and 12.
Rena graduated from North Stafford High School in 1987. She went to Texas Tech University and graduated in 1993 with a BA in Management. She then continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated in 1995 with a BA in Accounting.
Rena was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago. She never gave up and never complained. She maintained a brave and cheerful outlook of an optimistic future. Through all the treatments, hospitalizations, and pain, she continued to raise her two sons and to work, until she retired a year ago. A testament to her strength and love for her family was the fulfillment of her desire to create loving memories with them at Disney World and Hawaii that they could cherish. One verse that gave her comfort was Psalms 73:26- My health may fail and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
Rena is survived by her husband, Greg, and two sons, Skyler and Corga, step-daughter, Brittany Lennox; parents, Rob and Laura; Siblings, Robbie, Lanny, and Brian; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was called by many children as "Aunt Rena".
Special thanks to her best friend of 32 years, Robin Molsby Shipp, her work, Mid Cities Home Medical Equipment, and to the teachers at Swift Elementary in Arlington for their tireless support and contributions.
A donation may be made in-lieu of flowers to the children's education fund, Woodforest National Bank, Account 1712437829
