Joann Griffin

JoAnn Griffin, age 91, was called from this life on April 19, 2022. She died peacefully of natural causes.

She was born on March 28, 1931 to Carlos W. Berry and Annie Melear in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the second of six children. She graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. She married Earl D. Griffin in 1950 and gave birth to her only child, Michael Griffin, in 1951.

She worked almost all her adult life, including many years at Harris Hospital as a switchboard operator. Her husband was a Church of Christ minister and she was tireless in supporting his work in visiting members who were sick or in need.

She is survived by her son, Michael, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, and a number of nieces and nephews.
