KENNEDALE -- Joe Escalante, 46, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Beaumont.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made at Wells Fargo Bank of Kennedale to help his family cover the funeral expenses.
He was born March 27, 1962, in Brownfield. The family moved to Kennedale and he grew up enjoying country life. He was a good son who loved the outdoors, fishing and family. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Escalante; brother, Alex Escalante; and his sister, Sylvia Escalante Handy.
Survivors: His sons, Joe Jr. and Anthony Escalante of Corpus Christi; parents, Leonel and Elida Escalante of Kennedale; brothers, Robert Escalante of Fort Worth, Oscar Escalante and wife, Jamie, of Venus; sister, Ellie House and husband, Russell, of Benbrook; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
