John Herod Jr.

John Walter Herod Jr., 49, passed away on 25, April, 2023 at his home in Burleson, Texas. He was born on May, 25, 1973 in Fort Worth, Texas to John and Glenda (Carter) Herod.

Johnny grew up in Joshua, Texas. He graduated from Joshua High School in Joshua, Texas in 1992. After high school he:

● attended college at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas. He also attended Faith Bible Institute where he earned a degree in Biblical Theology.

● was a member of Northpointe Church.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda.

Johnny is survived by his daughters, Emily and Anna Herod of Burleson, Texas; his grandbaby, Blair Addison Plumlee; his father, John Herod Sr.; his sister, Debbie (Herod) Hannon of Mineral Wells, Texas; his brother, Adam Herod of Wylie, Texas; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Road; Kennedale, Texas from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2023. A Graveside service will be held at Burleson Memorial Cemetery 490 Memorial Plaza Burleson, Texas at 1 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2023.
