John Wallace Jr.

John Weldon Wallace Jr, 96, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth, TX. He was born on January 30, 1925 in Fort Worth, TX to John Weldon Wallace Sr. and Mammie Mackey Wallace.

John grew up in Fort Worth. He graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth. After high school he joined the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge he began a career with the United States Postal Service. John retired from the Postal Service after 36 years in 1980.

John was a faithful member of Hulen Street Baptist Church, where he served in several capacities. He enjoyed Model Cars and coloring in adult coloring books.

John was preceded in death by his son, Donald Wallace.

Survivors: Children, Paula Linville, Weldon Wallace, Leslie George Simpson, Elaine Wallace, and Jean Marie Wallace; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of his life will be held 11 am Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Monday, December 13, 2021 at funeral home.
