On Sunday, January 17, 2021, Jordan Scott Hightower, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and husband passed away at the age of 31.

Jordan was born December 15, 1989 in Arlington, Texas.

Jordan had a love for basketball and football. He was a Mavs Fan For Life and he excelled at coaching the Dallas Cowboys as he danced around the television while watching them play.

He was known for his quick-wit, infectious smile and beautiful blue eyes. Jordan loved his 8 nieces and nephews immensely and especially enjoyed family holidays and get-togethers when he was able to spend special with them. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday and Danna’s potato salad was his favorite dish.

The two most influential people in Jordan’s life were his dad, Walter and his big brother, Zach. Jordan often called his dad when he needed advice, just to chat, needed help in making a decision or guidance in checking the oil in his car. Jordan and his dad shared a relationship much like other fathers and sons, which was at times arduous, but Jordan knew the immeasurable love his dad had for him. This love kept them connected even when they were physically apart.

Jordan’s love for his father was matched only by his love for his big brother, Zach. He was Jordan’s confidant, best friend, running buddy, basketball coach, and dueling partner. They traveled the basketball courts of Mansfield with their friends “hooping it up.” They could muster a heck of a fight against each other but became the defender when one was faced with a foe.

Some of the words that describe their relationship are love, sacrifice, faithfulness, honesty, trust, loyalty and most importantly friend.

Jordan loved his mom, Kerri. They shared a love of music and cats. They enjoyed spending time just being in each other’s company. Even in his adult years he would lay is head in her lap while they watched Modern Family.

Jordan had a special bond with his little brother, Weston. Carrying on the family tradition, Jordan coached several of Weston’s basketball teams. They worked together, lived together, played together and he loved him dearly.

Jordan found love in his wife, Kristin. He loved her and she brought him a joy that he had been searching for. They loved bowling, playing pool and board games, especially Yahtzee.

Jordan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mutt and Lois Hightower, Earl McKeever and Blanche Craig and his nephew Sawyer Hightower.

Jordan is survived by his parents, Walter and Danna Hightower & Patrick and Kerri Stidham, wife Kristin Reynolds, brothers & sisters, Zach & Liliana Hightower, Michelle & Bubba Weed, Marti & Danny Weimar and Weston Stidham & Stefanee Young.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Braiden, Landry and Jackson Weed, Dakota and Jaeci Weimar and Addison, Beckett and Charlotte Hightower and along with aunts, uncles, cousins and innumerable friends. He will be sorely missed.
