KENNEDALE -- Joseph Franklin Peel, 78, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Joe was born in Brownwood. He served his country in the military. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and loyal friend. He served 16 years as elder for the Kennedale Church of Christ. He retired from American Excelsior's National office as master printer and ambassador for Secure Horizons.
Known for his humorous antics and sage advice, Joe will be missed by all those his life touched.
Survivors: His wife of 59 years, Virginia Peel of Kennedale; sons, Joe and Marca Peel of Burleson and Charles and Laarni Peel of Bedford; daughter, Lesa and Dr. Mike Lambert of Amarillo; sister, Joyce Worsham of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
