Joyce Allene Stinson, 89, was born on November 15, 1934, in Fort Worth TX to Albert G. and Dottie D. Dignum and was the first born of two daughters. She departed this life on February 24, 2024, and reunited with her loving husband, Donald P. Stinson, her parents, her sister Dorothy Lee Dignum-Boutwell and husband David Boutwell, Ross Dignum Jr, Pete and Debbie Herman, Christopher Herman, Michael McDowell, Dixie Parks, Florabelle Brown-Baskett, Ruby Watson and Ronnie and Patsy West, Cheryl Stinson-Vaclavik, Clarence and Helen Stinson and Richard Lee Stinson.
She attended Poly Technical High School in Fort Worth and graduated in 1953. There she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Donald P. Stinson, for an amazing 67-year marriage. She was a loving and loyal housewife and a very proud mother of two sons. During her professional career, she worked for Tarrant State Bank, Dun & Brad Street and Well Machinery. After raising her family, she served as Vice President and partner of Fort Worth Answering Service. She was actively involved with her church and a charter member of Trentman Avenue Baptist Church, in Fort Worth, which later became Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, TX for over 79 years.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories sons, Edward J Stinson, of Forest Hill, TX, Charles and Jennifer L Stinson, of Midlothian, TX, nephews, Rick and Gwen Stinson of San Diego, CA, Rob and Mona Stinson of Santa Anna, CA, Joe Stinson of Arlington, TX, Tommy and Emma Stinson of Austin, TX, Mary Ann & Fran Baker of Keller, TX, Ronnie and Sandy Brown, Donna Jaggers, Crystal Kemmerer, Hope McDowell, Isaiah and Shantell McDowell, Christopher and Amanda Horner, all from the state of Oklahoma. Betty Stinson or Austin, TX, Bobbie Stinson of Arlington, TX. Kym West and Dana West-Hanold. Both of the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Tracy Dignum of Fort Worth, TX, David Dignum, Stanley Dignum of Houston, TX, Dawn Dignum of Azle, TX and many nieces and nephews.
