Weldon J. Pitts, born December 1, 1930 to John L. & Lillian Pitts in Caddo Mills, Texas, was surrounded by his loving family when he was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2014.
Weldon is a longtime resident of Fort Worth and served the city in the street department for over 28 years. He enjoyed country music and taking drives through the country. Some interests include fishing, gardening, and adding spices to the dishes he and his wife would prepare. Weldon gained the most joy being with his family. He was a wonderfully attentive husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and a grandson.
Survivors include: devoted wife of 62 years, Melba; daughter Paula Vickers (Charlie), son, Gary Pitts (Jamie), daughter, Sandra Green (Danny), grandchildren, Stephanie Vickers, Stephen Vickers (Jennifer), John Pitts (Sandra), Kevin Pitts, Matthew Green, great grandchildren, Camden Vickers & Alex Uselton, and twin brother, Eldon Pitts, a host of nieces , nephews , extended family and many dear friends.
