Juanita Smith, 71, was called home to be with our Father on Monday, May 31, 2010, after a courageous battle.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Juanita was known as a strong, hardworking, independent woman who was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed her family, friends and gardening, and was an amazing cook. She touched numerous lives through her time here. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love for her children, grandchildren and friends was unconditional. She was always there for anyone who needed her. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She is greatly loved and will be very deeply missed.
Survivors: Children, Toby Navarre, Chuck Smith and Terry Smith; grandchildren, Keri Navarre, Kevin Navarre and his wife, Ashley, Stephen Byrd and his wife, Ashley, Stefanie Hopper and her husband, Tiger; great-granddaughters, Leonia Hopper (also known as her "lil-chick"), Jaisa Navarre and soon to be born Kinley Byrd; and numerous friends.
