Judith Ann Helsel, 76, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022, at her home in Arlington, Texas. She was born February 2, 1946, in Michigan City, Indiana to Harold and Betty Tucker. Judy grew up in Michigan City, later moving to Sherman, Texas, and graduating from Sherman High School. She attended North Texas University, where she pursued a degree in Education.
Judy married Larry Helsel in 1969 in Dallas, TX, and they were lovingly married for 51 years. In addition to being a homemaker, she shared her time and talents to volunteer with school organizations, like PTA. In their retirement years, Judy and Larry spent summers in Colorado where they traveled and spent time socializing with friends. She enjoyed painting and other arts, gardening and playing bridge. Most of all, she loved having fun with the grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Betty Tucker, and her husband Larry. She is survived by her son Larry Jr. (Lee) and spouse Gina, grandchildren Connor and Lily Helsel of Austin; brother Jerry Tucker and spouse Micki of Fairview, Texas and nephew and niece Clint Tucker and Carri Tucker Jury of Texas.
A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, (500 Kennedale Sublett Road Kennedale, Texas 76060) at 10am on August 13, 2022.
