FOREST HILL -- Judith "Judy" Ann Miller, 70, of Forest Hill passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at a hospital in Fort Worth.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, January 30 in Emerald Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
Judy was born on April 20, 1945 on the family farm in Winfield Township, Danube, Minn. to Edward Folkerts and Marcella (Thoenebe) Folkerts. She was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. Judy attended Danube High School. During her time in Minnesota, Judy worked at Harry's Corner, Blomkest, Minn. where she was a waitress and cook. She also worked several years at the Sheep Shedde Restaurant in Olivia as a waitress and hostess. She married Dale Rear of South Dakota in 1965 and was blessed with a son.
In 1986 she moved to Fort Worth. While in Texas, she worked at the Fort Worth School District as a cook. She also held various jobs within the area where she was a retailer associate. During her time as an Assistant Manager at Uno Jeweler Store, she met Keith Miller. On December 21, 1992 she married Keith Miller. During their marriage they enjoyed taking trips on their motorcycle. They belonged to Fort Worth Motorcycle club for 10 years. She and Keith resided in Forest Hill Texas upon her death.
Judy enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing bingo, crocheting, sewing, jig saw puzzles, playing cards and going to casinos. She was an avid Elvis fan and loved his music. She enjoyed her many cats and dogs that she had throughout her life. She especially loved to talk with her family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors: Husband, Keith Miller of Forest Hill; son, Scott Rear and wife Joan of Carver, Minn.; grandson, Brock Bermel and fiancée Hailey Sauer of Kettering, OH.; stepson, Mark Cook and wife Shannon of Arlington; stepdaughter, Amy Robinson of Fort Worth; brothers, Ron Folkerts and wife Jean of Rice, Minn., Russ Folkerts of Blackduck, Minn.; sister, Jane Riederer and husband Les of Bird Island, Minn.; brother in law, Anthony Miller of Fort Worth and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
