Karen Kay Jenkins, 62, passed away unexpectedly on May 9th, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX. Karen was born on January 13th, 1960 in Fort Worth, TX to J.S. Kennemer and Marie Rabb
Karen “KK”, grew up in Fort Worth, TX where she attended Eastern Hills High School. After high school she met the love of her life, Richard Jenkins, who she married on March 31,1980. They went on to have two children, Christie and Brandon Jenkins. Karen eventually started her own cleaning business serving the greater DFW area which she maintained for many years before dedicating her time to the care of her disabled daughter, Christie. Karen and Richard were married for 31 years before his passing in 2011.
Karen opened her heart and home to anyone who was in need. She loved her family more than anything and was so proud of her children and her granddaughter.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband Richard Jenkins, her father, J.S. Kennemer, her brother Eddie Kennemer, sister Rosa Watkins, and brother-in-law Benny Johnson
Karen is survived by her daughter Christie Jenkins of Benbrook, TX; son Brandon Jenkins and wife Jennifer, and granddaughter Amelia of Benbrook, TX; mother Marie Vickers of Joshua, TX, brother Ricky Gordon and wife Janet of New Braunfels, TX; sister Linda Rice and husband Dale of Rowlett, TX; sister Debra Johnson and Kirby Lane of Joshua, TX; sisters-in-laws, Jeananne Gordon of Fort Worth, TX, Sandra Cooper of Arlington, TX, and Debi Dunson and husband Jerry of Joshua, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
