Karen Marie Lindeman

October 5, 1949 — January 14, 2025

Arlington, Texas

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Karen Marie Lindeman on January 14, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on October 5, 1949, Karen grew up in a devout Catholic family, attending Catholic schools through grade and high school. Her strong faith guided her life and became the foundation of her devotion to her family and community.

On September 27, 1973, in Moorhead, Minnesota, Karen married the love of her life, Joseph Lindeman. Together, they celebrated 51 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and enduring partnership. They raised two beautiful and successful daughters, Jennifer and Julie, and were later blessed with five cherished grandchildren.

Karen’s career began in banking, where she worked in Fargo, North Dakota, and later in Denver, Colorado, forming countless lasting relationships. After starting a family, Karen prioritized her children, serving as a PTO Treasurer, Secretary, and even as a school nurse. She later worked part-time at Shea West, a jewelry manufacturing company, balancing her career with her unwavering dedication to her family. In retirement, Karen continued to spread joy, working at Gene Allen’s Hallmark and volunteering at nursing homes.

Karen never met a stranger. Her warmth and effervescent personality filled every room she entered. She was the life of the party at dinner gatherings and family events, particularly at the beloved lake house. Her love for people and connection extended beyond her family, as she built friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Karen is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Lindeman; her daughters, Jennifer Lindeman-O’Donnell (James) and Julie Lindeman-Davis (Kris); and her grandchildren, Emily, Laurie, Colton, Austin, and Kaden. She is also survived by her siblings, David Herzog (Lenny), Mary Courtney (Craig), Judy Gifford (Glenn), Kathy Tollerud (Mike), Daniel Herzog (Nan), and Sheila Eriksen; as well as her in-laws, Ann Rae Smith (Steve) and Fredrick Lindeman (Megan). Karen leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by her kindness and love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Rita Herzog; her grandparents, Oswald and Ludwina Silbernick; and her parents-in-law, Raymond and Margaret Lindeman.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Chelsea Alexander, Deb Smith, and Karen’s extensive circle of friends and family who enriched her life and shared in countless memories.
