Kathryn Tyree Bowerman, 87, passed away on September 26, 2024, at Medical City Fort Worth Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on June 19, 1937, in Royse City, Texas to Pearl Tyree.
Katie grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Trimble Tech High School.
Katie married Bill Bowerman in 1955 in Weatherford, Texas. They were married for 55 years until Bill’s death in 2010. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, and being Nonna to her grandkids and great grandkids. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Worth.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Pearl Harper; sisters, Lin Lyles and Maymie Jeffress; son, Steve Bowerman, Sr.; grandson, Cody Bowerman; great grandson, Gavin Flood.
Katie is survived by her daughter Brenda (Curtis) Morrison of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Bill Bowerman, Jr. of Burleson, Texas; daughter Carol (Jake) Cron of Arlington, Texas; her grandchildren Cathy (Rusty) Hammond, Scott (Chelsea) Flood, Jeff (LaNisha) Flood, Steven Bowerman, Jr., Katelyn (Brett) Manry, Marsha (Josh) Wilson, and Cliff (Tamara) Flood. Her great-grandchildren Emily Hammond, Malia Morrison, Maya Wilson, Adri Farrow, Ari Farrow, John Wilson, Ethan Flood, Kiley Flood, Kelsey Flood, Colton Manry, Brayton Manry. And nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas at 2:00pm on October 3,2024. A funeral service will be held immediately following in the Chapel at Emerald Hills Funeral Home October 3, 2024. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
