Kenneth Moss

Kenneth Eugene Moss was born on July 20, 1943 in St Louis Missouri to Willie Moss and Lula Nunley Moss.  He completed his earthly pilgrimage on January 3, 2019, dying peacefully in his home while holding his wife, Judy’s,  hand.  On their 44th wedding anniversary, January 10, 2019, Ken will be laid to rest.  A Solemn Pontifical Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at his parish church of St. Timothy, 4201 Mitchell Blvd., Fort Worth, at 10:00 A.M.  A viewing will occur from 9:00 A.M until 9:45 A.M. in the St. Luke Room at St. Timothy’s. A Reception will be held in the St. George Parish House immediately following the Mass.  The interment will be held at 1:15 P.M. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.                .

Ken was an avid golfer, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a faithful Christian.  He served as an Usher, a member of the Hospitality Committee and Bishop’s Warden at St. Timothy’s.  He married the love of his life, Judith Rutherford, on January 10, 1975, and together they welcomed into this world their daughters, Kelley and Laura who later blessed Ken and Judy with grandchildren, Bryce, Layne, Ashlynn and Cameron.  As a family man, Ken supported the various endeavors of his children and grandchildren from sports to music.

Ken was born into a large family, and was the surviving member of his generation, preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.  Ken was a noted athlete, having earned a basketball scholarship.  He served his country for two years in the U.S. Army, being discharged in 1971.  Earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Rolla University in Missouri, he relocated to Fort Worth Texas where he worked for 25 years as an Engineer for the Water Department in the City of Fort Worth.  Upon retirement he worked for Freeze and Nichols.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the “Ken Moss Memorial” at St. Timothy Church.
