Kenneth Walcott

October 10, 1922 — January 13, 2018

Kenneth LaDell Walcott was born October 10, 1922 in Valley Mills, TX to Phillip Carney Walcott and Cora Nellie (Burns) Walcott. He passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018.  Kenneth married Dorothy Earlene Sellers on June 8, 1947.  He was retired as a self-employed excavator and proudly served in the United States Army serving in the Battle of the Bulge under General George Patton with the 740th Tank Patton during World War II.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phillip Alton Walcott; and sisters, Louise Mooney, Retha Wallace, Virginia Evans, and Tommie Lou Stephens.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy Walcott; sons, Kenneth Wray Walcott and wife Beth, Gary Franklin Walcott, Melvin Eugene Walcott and wife Patricia; daughter, Cynthia Elaine Wilkins and husband Bill; grandchildren, Amy Middleton and husband Scott, Jacob Wilkins, Phillip Wilkins, Jessica Wilkins, Stephen Walcott; step-grandchildren, Nicole Gettings and husband Joseph, Mark Maginnis, Jennifer Livingston, Sarah Maginnis, Sean Maginnis and wife Katrina, Seth Maginnis, Andrew Phillips, Eli Phillips, Katie Livingston, Emma Kinl; and great great grandchild, Caleb Wells.

Funeral service for Mr. Walcott will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00P.M. at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 5:00-7:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
