Arlington

Kyle Joseph Martinez, 37, passed away on August 18, 2020.  Kyle was born on May 12, 1983 to Kenny and Vickie Martinez in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kyle grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Cassata Catholic High School in Fort Worth in 2001.  Kyle worked in property management and lawn maintenance for several years and was passionate about volunteering at Mission Arlington.  He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity United Methodist Church, and his favorite scripture was Psalm 23.

In 2009, together with Rachel Edwards, he welcomed his daughter Karter Jalea Martinez.  Karter was the light of his life.  Karter’s favorite memories with her dad include visiting Burger’s Lake, going to Hurricane Harbor, and feeding the ducks at Lake Arlington.

Kyle was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emilio and Mary Martinez, and his maternal grandmother, Mary Conrad.

Kyle is survived by his daughter, Karter; parents Kenny and Vickie Martinez of Arlington, Texas; sister Kristen Bymaster, her husband Adam, and their children Grant, Grace, and Gage Bymaster of Montgomery, Texas; grandfather Victor Conrad of Clifton, Texas; Rachel Edwards and her son, Camden Dedmon of Cleburne, Texas; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and very dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 22 with limited seating to accommodate social distancing (masks required).  The service will be available as a live-stream on the Emerald Hills website.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Mission Arlington at www.missionarlington.org.  Condolences may be left on Kyle’s online guest book at https://www.emeraldhillsfuneralhome.com/obituary/Kyle-Martinez.
