Larry Butts

Larry Jay Butts, 65, passed away on December 6th, 2022, at his home, in Arlington, Texas. He was born on July 1st, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, to Eugene Edward Butts and Velma Irene Butts Petty, where he grew up. He graduated from South Side High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1975. After high school he attended Lincoln Tech Institute in Dallas, Texas, where he received diploma for auto/diesel technician.

Larry worked for Ryder Truck Rental, Bight Transportation.

He began working for Jack Cooper Transport in 2015, as a supervisor and then car hauler. He retired, from Jack Cooper Transport in December 2021. Larry often said the car hauling job was his favorite of all his jobs.

During his first marriage to Stella Almond, he and his then wife provided foster care to children. He recounted the love of helping children many times over the years.

Larry was married to Trina Butts since 2008, and they resided in Arlington, Texas. They were happily married for 14 years.

Larry enjoyed many hobbies and interests including hanging out with friends and family, participating in billiards league, and hunting to name a few. He did receive multiple trophies for his skills with billiards.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Velma; and brother, Kenneth.

Larry is survived by his spouse Trina;  his daughter, Caitlin Butts; his son, Cameron Butts; his stepdaughter, Candice Fowler; son-in law, Dylon Fowler; Grandson, Rowan Fowler; Stepson, Jesse Lindsey. His sisters, Bonnie Davis and spouse Gary, and Laura Petty and spouse Richard. His brothers Allen and Tim and his spouse Karri. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
