Linda Joyce Haney, born on January 6, 1944, in Stamford, Texas, was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her. She passed peacefully on November 18,2024, in Burleson, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for others.
For many years, Linda dedicated her life to caring for those in need, working as a caregiver in various capacities. From her role as hospice aide to becoming an ordained Chaplain, she offered comfort to many, embodying the spirit of compassion that was at the heart of her being. Linda's work was not merely a career; it was her calling. She understood the profound impact of a kind word and the power of prayer, always taking the time to lift the spirits of those around her.
Described as a truly joyous and caring person, Linda had a unique ability to find beauty and charm in simple things, often leading others to appreciate the wonders that most take for granted. She treasured every smile offered to her and had an infectious zest for life that brightened the day of anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Linda’s passion for people was evident in the way she shared stories, dreams, and nuggets of wisdom. Her presence was like sunshine, lighting up the lives of her six beloved grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Khalif Lateef, her sons Aaron Dove and Jason Dove, and her cherished sister, Helen Robertson. Linda also holds dear the memories of her late husband, Donald Dove, and her brothers Jimmie, Johnny, and Louis Attaway, who have preceded her in death. Together, they made up the tapestry of her life, woven with love and laughter.
Linda's warmth and generosity will be remembered by many, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who seek to share kindness and light in the world.
A visitation will be held on November 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Kennedale, Texas. This will be followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and a burial will take place at 12:15 PM.
