It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Michele Harmon, who passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023, in Arlington, Texas at the age of 52.
Michele was born on August 31, 1970, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Gail Inman McCue and Richard Thomas Harmon. She grew up in Arlington, Texas, where she graduated from Arlington High School in 1988. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. In 2013, she received her Master’s degree from Western Governor’s University.
Michele was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She joined the Church on July 29, 1989. She attended the Arlington Single’s Ward from 1988-2000 and later became a member of the Arlington 3rd Ward from 2000-2020. At the time of her passing she was a member of Arlington 6th Ward. She held various callings in the Church, including Primary Teacher, Relief Society Counselor, Sunday School Teacher, and Arlington Stake Reliance Teacher. Her greatest joy was serving as the Relief Society President for many years. Many people were blessed by her love and compassion.
Michele was a dedicated employee of AETNA Healthcare for over 20 years. She also worked for Hilton Hotels for six years. She had a passion for photography and was an active member of the Ft. Worth Photography Club. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, attending plays, spoiling her cats, and helping friends with their children.
Michele will be missed by her mother - Gail Inman McCue, her father - Richard Thomas Harmon, her brother - Robert Christopher McCue, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Scott Veronee. Michele's life was characterized by her dedication to her faith, her career, and her hobbies. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her willingness to help others.
A viewing will be held on May 9, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Arlington Stake Center (3809 Curt Dr, Arlington, TX, 76016) from 9:00 am – 9:45 am. Funeral services will be held on the same day and location at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Cemetery (500 W Sublet Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Michele’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michele's honor to a charity of your choice.
