Linda Mason

Linda Gay Mason, 77, passed away peacefully, with her son beside her, on June 17, 2020 at Medical City North Hills Hosptial in North Richalnd Hills, TX. She was born on November 6, 1942 in Plainview, TX to William Worth and Ethel Louise (Gilbert) Baker.

Linda grew up in Fort Worth, TX. She stayed home with the children until she became the manager of the Swiss Pretzel Shop. She later worked for Goodwill industries.

Linda married David Lee Mason in 1959 in Fort Worth, TX. They were happily married for 10 years. She enjoyed reading novels, playing cards and dominoes.

Linda was preceded in death by her spouse David, her parents William and Ethel, and her siblings Ann, Joy and Vicky.

Linda is survived by her daughter Sharon Mason of Joplin, MO. Her son Michael (Louanne) Mason of Fort Worth, TX. Her brother Bill (Bernita) Baker of North Richland Hills, TX. Her grandchildren Jade (Karsten) Nicholas of Dalton, MA and Gwendolyn Leggott (Joshua Stanton) of Joplin, MO, and  Nadia, Amelie and Dani Mason of Fort Worth, TX. Also many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family will be greeting friends and relatives at the visitation which will be held at 1 pm on Saturday June, 20, 2020 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale TX 76060. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Cemetery.

Because Linda loved to give gifts to little children, in lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Make-A-Wish North Texas ( https://ntx.wish.org/ ).

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to La Dora Nursing and Rehab for the amazing care and love they showed her during the last years of her life.
