MANSFIELD -- Linda Gayle Nelson, 73, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Emerald Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday in Emerald Hills Funeral Home. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers or donations, Linda would prefer you do an unexpected act of kindness for a stranger in her name.
Linda would like us to know that her work here is done. She received a call that she could not refuse, an appointment from which she will not return. Part of her final duties here will be the bringing together of family and friends, something she had always enjoyed and that brought her great pleasure. Her new calling takes her to a place where she can once again socialize, dance, garden, and be free of the boundaries that she endured the last years of her life.
We all will remember her smile, laugh, and warmth that she gave to us all. She worked hard all her life and asked for nothing before trying to do it herself. She made a difference in all our lives, unknowingly teaching us how to live and laugh, and making us all better people in the end.

Spangler, Jimmy Turner, Jennifer Turner and great-grandchild, Belle Hernandez
