ARLINGTON -- Linda Ruth Barnett, 64, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Celebration of life: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rush Creek Christian Church, 2401 SW Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. Interment: private with a family graveside service. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Linda's name to the Rush Creek Christian Church piano fund.
Linda was a charter member of Rush Creek Christian Church. She served as an elder and on the worship committee. She played the piano for over 30 years; she loved the Lord and working for her church. She loved retired life also. After a long fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service, she was able to do what she really loved, spoiling her grandchildren.
She left this world knowing she was loved. Nothing in life could be a more precious gift. You'll always be in our heart.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Pelham Wyatt, and grandchildren, Alex Barnett and Kyle Barnett.
Survivors: Her husband of 20 years, William "Bill" Barnett; children, Jennifer and Kevin Cook, Laura Holloway, Jerry and Lori Seale and Michael and Michelle Barnett; grandchildren, Tyfanie Cook, Aaron Barnett, Mason Holloway, Brynna Cook, Nicole Cook and Morgan Holloway, sister; Virginia D. Walraven; and a host of other family and friends.
