FORT WORTH -- Lois M. Tarnowski, 72, a retired assembly worker and homemaker, departed this life and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Lois was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After retiring, she took up quilting and enjoyed the time spent with her circle of quilting friends. She will be remembered by all those who knew her for her kind and gentle spirit.
Her family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Odyssey Healthcare Hospice for the exceptional care given to our loved one and for the compassion shown at the time of our great loss.

Survivors: Her husband of 22 years, Gerard Tarnowski; children, Gerald Warren and wife, Pam, of Saginaw, Carolyn Sue Smith and husband, Keith, of Allardt, Tenn., Thomas Warren and wife, Penny, and Terry Warren, all of Weatherford, and Maciek Tarnowski and wife, Agnes, and Mary Ochman and husband, Mlrek, all of Warsaw, Poland; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins; extended family; numerous friends; and last but not least, Lulu, truly a man's best friend.
