FOREST HILL -- Louise Herod of Forest Hill entered into eternal life Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the age of 74.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Louise was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Atalla County, Miss. She had such a love for life and lived to its fullest, never complaining. She joyfully took what God gave her and made a wonderful life for her family. One of her greatest joys was seeing the love and happiness of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of which they fondly call "Memaw."
Louise is now at rest with her Lord and Savior, and will live on in our hearts forever.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Annie Belle Westbrook; brothers, Johnny, Oscar, William "Bill," Earl, J.W. and Ernest Westbrook; and sister, Mae Westbrook Carter.
Survivors: Her husband of 58 years, Thomas M. Herod Jr.; sons, Thomas M. Herod III and Robert Herod and wife, Donna; daughter, Linda Herod Cox; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and extended family.
