Lynetta Hanshew

Lynetta “Nita” Carol Hanshew, 72, passed away on September 14, 2022 at Mansfield Methodist Medical Center in Mansfield, TX. She was born on November 22, 1949 in Lampasas, TX to Melvin and Linnie Adams.

Nita grew up in Sweetwater, TX where she attended Sweetwater High School. She loved to dance, spend time with her family, play cards and keep up with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on Facebook. She married Johnny Hanshew, on June 17, 1967 in Sweetwater, TX. They were married for 55 years. Together they raised two sons, Ricky Hanshew and Ronnie Hanshew.

Nita is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Adams. She is survived by her mother Linnie Adams; her brother Larry Adams; her husband Johnny Hanshew; her sons Ricky and Ronnie Hanshew; her daughter in laws Joni and Melanie; her six grandchildren Christopher, Chad, Curt, Cara, Tristen and Tana; her six great grandchildren Caeli, Noel, Gavin, Nicholas, Peter and Ella; her three sister in laws Jean, Theda and Brenda; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be deeply missed and loved always.

A Graveside Service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. Kennedale, Texas 76060. The come and go viewing will take place on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 9 AM - 12 PM and the Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 PM.
