Mae Wilson

Francis was born on February 12, 1931 to the late Clifford and Clara Butler Purvis in Arlington, Texas

She was married to John “Johnnie” Jackson Jr. and was blessed with 4 children.

She later married Curtis “Buck” Wilson. To this union three sons were born. They were married for 37 years until his demise in 1999.

Francis is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Johnnie Jackson Jr. and Curtis Wilson; Siblings, Clifford, Henry, Clarence, Walter, Doris, Mae Merle, Katherine Lucille, Myrtle Lee, and Barbara Jean; son, Leslie Wilson; grandchildren, April Burgess & Brandon Purvis; and great-great-grandson, Keion Reeves.

A former member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas and present member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Mansfield, Texas.

Mae Francis Purvis Jackson Wilson departed this life on October 10th peacefully surrounded by her family.

Left to cherish her memories are children Horace Purvis, Francene Ford, Alberta Brooks, Diane (Love) Fantroy, Curtis Jr. (Portia) Wilson, and Charles (Melody) Wilson; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; Brother-in-law Sherman West of Oakland and special nephew Thomas Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
