Manuela B. Gonzales

Manuela Gonzales, 95, passed away on September 04, 2024, in El Paso, TX.
She was born April 11, 1929, in Fredericksburg, TX to Bentura and Cruz Morin Benavides.

Manuela grew up in Fredericksburg, TX. She attended the Fredericksburg public school.
Manuela married Pedro Gonzales In 1944 in Fredericksburg, TX . They were happily
Married for 45 years. She was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in
Arlington, TX. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and maintaining a beautiful yard.

We cannot forget her passion for playing Bingo and visiting the casinos. In between all
That she thoroughly enjoyed taking care of all her grandkids. She was an extremely talented seamstress.
From tailoring the wardrobe for Jimmys entire Tejano band members, to a wedding gown and all
bridesmaid dresses. She even tailored a 3-piece suit to one of her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bentura and Cruz Benavides, husband, Pedro
Gonzales, her children, Antonio Gonzales & Janie Gonzales. Her siblings, Jesusa Hernandez, Efigenia
Rummer and Lucia Pina Valdez

She is survived by daughter, Rita Lopez of Kennedale, Tx, sons, Jimmy (Hopie) of Rowlett, TX and Albert
(Vivian) of El Paso, TX. She had 15 Grandkids, 37 Great-Grandkids & 34 Great-Great-Grandkids. And
numerous nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 500 Kennedale Sublet Road, Kennedale,
Texas 76060 at 10:00AM September 13, 2024. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 1500 South
Westmoreland Road, DeSoto, Texas 75115.

The family will be greeting friends and family at Jimmy and Hopie’s residence:
