ARLINGTON -- Marciel L. "Marsh" McCoy, 89, met Joe and Scott at heaven's gate Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.
She was born in Pike County, Ohio, on April 20, 1923, to Ralph and Thera Beeman. She was a treasured and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She took great pride in being a Christian, a member of Advent Lutheran Church. She followed old quartet gospel music and was a church choir member almost all her life.
She cherished the time she had with her family. She married April 20, 1946 (yes, her birthday), her childhood friend, Joe. They had a loving home, but living through the Depression they had a moto "don't waste a second or a dime"; they raised their children this way. She was a "LifeTime Member of Weight-Watchers, 50 years. She kept her weight off for 25 years; she was an inspiration to others. She loved to sew, read, travel. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she loved everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; and grandson, Scott.
Survivors: She will be remembered by her sons, Joe McCoy and Steve McCoy; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Robert Pound; her honorary daughter, Cindy McManus; grandchildren, Bryan and Angela Pound, Melisa Pound, Cathy McManus Podd, Sean McManus and Colleen McManus; great-grandson, Michael; along with a host of other family and friends.
