November 18, 1927 — November 22, 2009

Marcy C. "Kaye" Parks Forshaw, 82, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, answered her Master's call and entered into his arms Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, in Arlington.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Friday in the Chapel prior to service.

Mary Catherine Parks was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Anson to Guy W. Parks Sr. and Ruby Harrison Parks. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1945. She was employed by Dairy Farmers of America for 32 years, retiring in 1990. Always the antique buff, Mary enjoyed poking around in antique malls and shops and going to estate sales. She never picked up a piece of glassware without turning it over to look at the manufacturer's mark on the bottom. She would spend hours poring over her antique books researching items for herself and anyone who had a treasure that they needed information on. Mary answered to many names. Mother, Mary, Kaye, Sister, Aunt Kaye, but her favorite was Granner K. She will always be a part of our hearts and we anticipate seeing her again in heaven. We love you Granner K. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother. Bill Parks; and a son, Wesley Forshaw.

Survivors: Daughters, Vicki Bloxom and husband, Woody, Lynda Biggerstaff and husband, David, and Amy Henderson; grandchildren, Becki, Traci, Jason, Kelly, Michael, James and Sarah; five great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Adcock and husband, Rufus; brother, Jerry Parks and wife, Betty Ann; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
