Margeret Kay Douglass, 78 passed away on March 29, 2025. She was born in Littlefield, TX to Kermit and Lillie Mae Workman.
Margaret grew up in Arlington, TX. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1965. After high school she managed a successful family Air Conditioning business for over 50 years. Served as PTA president for 2 years at Alice Ponder and Erma Nash ES in Mansfield ISD. Mansfield Girls Softball Association officer for multiple years. Her first job was a keypunch manager. She was a member of Gateway Church in Mansfield, TX
Margaret married Roy in 1965 in Arlington, TX. They were happily married for 56 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and hosting pool parties. She loved bowling, cooking (best known for her chicken fried steak), and traveling. Christmas was Margaret’s favorite holiday and she always went all out decorating and celebrating with her family. She also loved the tradition of Easter sunrise service.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Roy Earl Douglass, parents Kermit and Lillie Mae Workman, sister Faye Prause (spouse: Dan), and brother Kermit Workman Jr. (spouse: Sandra).
Margaret is survived by her daughter Denise Douglass Moseley (spouse: Greg) of Lantana, TX; her son Dennis Douglass (spouse: Tiffany) of Kennedale, TX; her grandchildren Brooke Moseley and Jack Douglass; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A visitation and memorial service will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd Kennedale, TX 76060. Visitation is from 1pm-2pm with the Memorial Service starting at 2pm, both at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
