Marilyn Joyce Peterson, 88, passed away on October 26, 2022 at her home in Mansfield, Texas. She was born on June 10, 1934 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Milton and Genevieve Melin.
Marilyn grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952. Marilyn married Robert L. Peterson in 1953 and to this union four children were born. In 1976 Marilyn desired a new beginning and her and her baby boy Eric moved to Texas. After arriving in Texas she began a long career with Siemens as an Administrator. Marilyn enjoyed pink tulips and hummingbirds.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Gary; both parents; brothers, Gerald and Robert, son-in-law, Barry Kleinart; and grandson, Brandon Peterson.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Terry and Sheryl; son, Eric; grandchildren, Satya, Forrest, Shawn, Andrew, Kathryn, Courtney and Megan; great-grandchildren, Teagan and Abigail; Ava and Carson; Avery, Kayla and Noah; and nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060 at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. A visitation will be held at funeral home prior to service at 1pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at this location. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park
