ARLINGTON -- Mary Derrick, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
Funeral: 8:30 a.m. Friday at California Lane Church of Christ, 1906 California Lane, Arlington. Interment: 10:15 a.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8pm. Thursday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Bevean Children's Home, Box 1009, Brookhaven, Miss. 39602.
Mary was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Fort Worth to Chestley Dee and Mary E. Buckelew. She was a longtime member of California Lane Church of Christ.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George Derrick, and her daughter, Katherine Johnson.
Survivors: Son, Gary Derrick and wife, Tanya; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Jordan; son-in-law, Terry Johnson; daughter-in-law, Liz Sibley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
