Mary Elizabeth Giddens was the 5th child of 7 daughters born to Samuel & Mattie Giddens. She passed away on March 7th at 2 a.m. in Grand Prairie, Texas at age 84 years old. She was a career employee of 36 years at Southwestern Bell telephone company in Arlington TX. Mary raised 4 children as a single divorced parent.
She is survived by her twin daughters Cathy Flory (husband Ken Flory), Connie Jones and sister Joye Waldrip as well as 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by two sons David and Timothy Jones.
Mary loved to read inspirational religious books and was a member of Disciples of Christ church. She doted on her cats Felix and Cuddles who picked her out by running to her and jumping on her lap in a busy parking lot. Mary had 2 other pet dogs, Prince and Bunny that she adored. Her favorite pastime was to go shopping with her daughter Cathy. And she so enjoyed hosting holiday parties for her family.
