Mary Mcelvany

Mary McElvany, 86, beloved, hell raising, sassy mom, grandmother, great grandma, great great grandmother, aunt and friend passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021.  Mary was born May 29, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to Chester and Mary Evans.

Mary worked in a chocolate factory for many years but found her love and passion working as a security guard for over fifteen years before retiring.  Mary spent her leisure time playing bingo, dancing, coloring, spending time with her family and giving us all the hell, she could.  Mary also loved spending time with her cat Penelope.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Evans and Mary Harrell; brother, Charles Evans and wife Marion Evans; brothers, Glen, Ronnie, and William Evans and sister Junita Dockery.

Those left to cherish Mary’s memories are her children, Ricky McElvany and wife Darleta, Bubba McElvany and wife Becky, Troy McElvany; bonus son, Sam Burgess and wife Christi; ten grandkids, twenty one great grandkids, two great great grandkids and countless family and friends.
