Arturo Vega, 51, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday June 5, 2010.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 2910 Cornvalley Road, Grand Prairie, 75052. Interment: 12:30 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2191 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Art will be remembered for his extraordinary kindness and for his love of animals. He was a real people person, a super role model for his nieces and nephews, and a hard worker who took the utmost pride in his landscaping business. His winning smile, zest for life and inspiring leadership deepened the love we felt for him. He loved his loyal friend, Macho.
Survivors: His wife of 28 years, Yolanda Vega; parents, Salvador and Maria Vega; sisters, Rosemary Vega and Lizette Warner (Shawn); brother, Ivan Vega (Gena); two nieces; and four nephews.
