MANSFIELD -- Michael Ray Tallent Sr., 68, of Mansfield passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, surrounded by his family in his home of 40 years.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home. The family invites you to wear your "Team Tallent" shirts or any other cancer awareness shirts if possible.
After attending high school, he served four years as a member of the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. Mike owned and operated CHT services for 20 years and proudly worked alongside his son, Michael Ray Jr.
Mike was someone who could find humor in any situation with his constant supply of jokes and could keep you laughing for hours. He was loved by everyone who met him and that love was always returned with a warm hug and a clever nickname. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, humor, family and love. His strength never failed to inspire those around him, and even on his most difficult days, he never failed to lighten up the room.
Survivors: Wife of 39 years, Linda Tallent; children, Lisa Rotenberry, Mindy Jackson and partner, Lisa, Michael Ray Tallent Jr. and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Jordan, Lily, Alyx, Mackenzie, Gracey and Zaylea; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Nova and Reina.
