Michael Weldon Nix, 59, of Burleson passed away suddenly Saturday, April 9, 2011, at home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Michael was born May 21, 1951, in Fort Worth to Weldon and Thelma Nix. Michael was the youngest of three. He married Diane on June 20, 1987. They have two children. He was a resident of Burleson for three years and owned Nix Door and Hardware for 28 years. His employees were part of his extended family. Michael never met a stranger, was loved by all, was always joking, and wanted everyone to be happy. He traveled all over the country with his hot rods just to see his friends. Michael enjoyed his family and many, many friends, old and new, his dogs, his garage and cars, cars, cars. He believed it was better to give than to receive.
Survivors: Loving wife, Diane; daughter, Michelle; son, Brian; mother, Thelma; brother, Stewart; sister, Sandra Crane; three grandchildren; and many extended family members.
